The Saint Mark United Methodist Men are a community of men and youth of Saint Mark whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.
The UMM meet on the second Saturday of each month for breakfast and fellowship. At these meetings, plans for spiritual nurture, service opportunities, and fellowship events are planned.
The Saint Mark UM Men meet at Saint Mark the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm for fellowship and informal discussions of issues we face as Christian men in our world today. Discussions will be guided by weekly readings from the book Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. All Saint Mark men and youth are welcome. It is not necessary to have participated in study of previous chapters to join at any time in the discussions. Please call Bill McVay (585-3309)or John Humphries (888-1475) for additional info.
The Saint Marksmen lead or participate in numerous missions and stewardship projects within our church and in the Hamilton community. The majority of these projects are not announced in worship bulletins, but are instead communicated via email and telephone to over 70 Saint Mark UM men who’ve already added their names to our communication list. No one among us can participate in even half of all these activities, but via our communication list, we are able to quickly locate those who can help in each project as it arises. All Saint Mark men and youth are invited to contact Jan Hartman (571-5455, janjay59(at)gmail.com) to add your name to our communication list in order to be informed of all our mission and stewardship projects.
