Sharon has been on staff since 2010 as the Music Director for Saint Mark's Contemporary Praise! service. She has been a member of Saint Mark since 2005 and enjoys singing in the choirs, playing handbells, accompanying on piano, and playing flute and clarinet in the church's wind ensemble.
Born in Riverside and raised in Cinnaminson, NJ, Sharon was active in the youth and music programs at Central Baptist Church in Riverton and at Cinnaminson High School. She attended Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and in 1982, graduated from Glassboro State College (Rowan University) with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree and NJ Certification.
As Music Specialist/Band Director in the Voorhees Township School District since 1989, Sharon teaches music to grades 4-8. She has also taught at Bernardsville Elementary/Upper Elementary Schools and teaches at the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra's Summer Jazz Camp at Princeton High School.
Sharon also co-directs Youth Praise!, a Contemporary Praise Band and Choir for ages 10-20 at Saint Mark. She currently serves as Historian for the Saint Mark United Methodist Women and helps chair the Scrapbooking Circle. Her interests include scrapbook and card-making, gardening, computers, and being a grandma! Sharon and her husband, Bill, have two sons, Brian and Andy, a daughter-in-law, Erin, and a beautiful granddaughter, McKenzie.
