Rev. Linda A. Ross

Linda graduated from Drew Theological School with a Masters of Divinity in May 2003.  She has been Associate Pastor here at Saint Mark since January 1, 2004.  She is currently working at Drew on a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling.  She was ordained an Elder in Full Connection on May 30, 2008.

Linda grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.  She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1977 and began teaching music in Illinois.  Linda is a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and will remind you of that often!  She moved to New Jersey in 1980.  She has two children, John and Crystal.

Throughout her adult life, Linda has worked in a variety of jobs, including fitness instructor, music teacher, business owner, and Tupperware consultant!  All these have helped prepare her for the diverse responsibilities of being a pastor.  Linda’s greatest joy is leading Disciple Bible Study.  She believes it provides an especially transformative understanding of the power of the Bible in our daily lives.  Linda enjoys leading the Confirmation classes, preaching once a month, visiting those in need of comfort in the hospital, and spending time with youth of all ages in the church.  Now divorced, Linda is grateful for the family of Saint Mark UMC and all the support they give in all of life’s up’s and down’s.
