Lynn and his wife of 45 years, Lorraine, are founding members of Saint Mark UMC. Their three children and four grandchildren have always attended Saint.Mark and now as adults, sit on many committees. Lynn has been part of the ministry of Saint Mark in many different ways over many years, holding almost every position, of every committee from Lay Leader to Counsel Chairperson, to Auctioneer of the yearly yard sale.
Lynn was part of the committees that put a new roof on the church, dealt with the sale of water rights with the local utility company, and turned the first shovel of dirt for the new parsonage.
Lynn entered the Ministry as a Local Pastor taking his training at Drew University and Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. He was Pastor of Chambers UMC in Trenton, Minister of Visitation at Pierson UMC, Pastor of Debows UMC in Jackson and Fieldsboro UMC in Fieldsboro. He also worked for McGraw Hill Company for over 31 years as a computer analyst.
Although retired, Lynn remains active in Saint Mark as their Minister of Visitation. In that position, he visits shuts ins, whether at home, in assisted living facilities, or in hospitals. He travels extensively bringing God’s word to those who cannot attend regular services, usually 35-40 people each month. If anyone is desirous of a visitation, please call the office. He also fills in for Pastors when they are on vacation or during a time of illness.
God has always been a part of Lynn's life and he is happy to provide care to the suffering, to those who are lonely, to welcome a stranger, to be doing God’s work in many ways.
In my spare time, Lynn loves to travel the world, plays the guitar, golfs and bowls. He trys to keep up on world situations, both nationally and internationally that are related to humanity and can improve daily living for all of God’s children.
